Will won the indie spirit award for writing 50/50.

And Evan wanted me to add, “if you see him, give him a humming BJ.”

So, I finally decided to give “Jennifer’s Body” a chance and watched it for the first time a couple days ago, just because I love Diablo Cody so much.  I originally hadn’t had any interest in seeing it for fear that it was another film specifically made to showcase Megan Fox’s boobies.  But, I won’t lie, I didn’t hate it.  I actually really enjoyed it, and I know this may discredit my judgement, but I didn’t hate Megan Fox’s performance either.  I’d like to see her in more roles where she plays a psychotic man-eating bitch, it suits her.   Sure, it wasn’t the most sophisticated movie, but it was good for what it was- an awesome addition to the feminist slasher film genre.  And despite what critics have said, the film was most definitely aware of its tropes, so I am not sure why it’s received so much backlash.  Plus, it didn’t hurt that Adam Brody was actually really sexy in the film (this is the one and only time you’ll ever hear me say this, by the way), even if he was a freaky devil worshiper.  Check out this scene from the movie where he sings. ‘Twill intoxicate you.

Beyond the Frame: Film Will Save the World

We are languishing in a period without much direction and no shared body of ideas about what we and our society are all about. Now, as never before, we need people who have stories to tell that make sense and order out of the daily avalanche of sensation, news, events; the function of the artist…

I can’t stop listening to this song.  I absolutely love it.  It makes me feel like I can actually do something cool with my life.

This is why I’m gonna marry Eli Roth

I’ve watched this interview a hundred times, and still think it’s so funny. He’s like a very large man-child, and I love it.

For the life of me, I will never understand how or why people find this Jenna Marbles girl funny. I realize she is supposed to be SUPER crude and SUPER sarcastic and tell it like it is, but I don’t get any of that out of her videos.  She just says the same old stuff. The only thing her lame jokes bring to mind is the Dundies episode of The Office in season 7 when Deangelo Vickers is co-hosting The Dundies and is super nervous and starts off by saying “Fall asleep right after sex, huh guys?” and it’s super awkward and Jim tells him to stick to the script. LOL When all of your jokes are based on tired gender stereotypes, you have to add something fresh to them to make them funny or it doesn’t work because everyone’s heard these generalizations before….

I KNEW we were meant for each other! We even read the same books! <3 Eli!

This is probably pretty close to what the Oscar nominations are going to be, and I think I’m okay with Hugo winning best picture.  What I’m most excited about, though, is Will Reiser being up for best original screenplay for 50/50! (yayayaay!)  Something about that movie is just amazing to me- the characters are really well-written and the relationships feel real, which is surprising since the subject matter had the potential of being ridiculously corny.  Young Adult is also nominated for best original screenplay, and although I haven’t seen it yet, I’d be okay with it winning…just because I want to be like Diablo Cody…minus the stripper part…

I knew Angelina Jolie couldn’t have written this movie by herself!  I kept saying she had a ghost writer, but NOPE she probably just plagiarized big time.  I’m curious to see how the lawsuit turns out.

DONT RUIN THIS FOR ME, LIONSGATE

http://www.nydailynews.com/entertainment/american-psycho-remake-works-lionsgate-report-article-1.988759

I heard recently that Lionsgate wants to do a remake of American Psycho.  I am not sure how I feel about this, the original is one of my favorite movies.  They are looking to do a completely new screenplay adaptation and hire a new director and cast.  Christian Bale was one of the best parts of that movie, and I heard Bret Easton Ellis wants Scott Disick to be a part of the cast!?  I know he is basically a real life Patrick Bateman, but I highly doubt he has any acting talent.  This morning he tweeted that he wants to be a part of it…I wonder if he knows the entire story is a satire on his life…
